Avoid Prologned Exposure to Water
We suggest removing your jewellery if you're going to be in the water for long periods of time. This includes hot tubs, swimming pools, lakes, rivers, showers, and long baths. It's okay to wear your pieces when you wash your hands, but chlorine and other chemicals may damage the finish.

Accessories Last
We love no-frizz hair, lotions, serums, sun protection, and perfume, but these things are not friends to our jewellery. These items, including aerosolised sprays (hairspray, setting mist, etc.), moisturizers, sunblock, and perfume can all dull the shine of your piecse. Get ready first, then put on your bling!
Tip 3
Protect Your Bling
We want these pieces to last for as long as possible, and one of the best ways is to keep them in well-made jewellery boxes, or in individual sealed plastic zip bags. Better yet, keep the items away from high-humidity areas such as bathrooms.
Tip 4
No Harsh Cleaners
Avoid using abrasive cleaners on jewellery. This includes chemical cleaners and brushes with rough bristles. Stick with polishing cloths instead!
Tip 5
Sweat is Acidic
Sweat is found at moderately acidic pH levels, but when you're exerting energy while working out or playing sports, this can cause your jewellery to tarnish. We suggest removing it before engaging in strenuous activity so your pieces don't get tarnished, or worse, damaged.
Tip 6
Microfibre & Cotton Cloths
Microfibre cloths are excellent for cleaning jewellery because they are soft, lint-free, and gentle on different types of metals and gemstones. Soft cotton cloths, such as a t-shirt, can also be used for gentle cleaning and drying jewellery. The best though, are jewellery polishing cloths, which are specifically designed for this exact use!
Tip 7
Baking Soda Paste for Gold
Avoid using silver 'dip' cleaners for gold jewellery. Instead, create a paste from baking soda and a small amount of water. Apply the paste to a soft cloth or a soft-bristled toothbrush and gently rub it onto the gold jewellery. The mild abrasiveness of baking soda can help remove tarnish or stubborn stains. Rinse the piece thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat it dry with a clean towel.

Clasp Your Necklaces
Storing necklaces? Keep the chains clasped together so they don't get tangled. Better yet, hang them up on a necklace sorter so you can see every one of your pieces in plain view.
